For small garden sheds (under 256 sq ft), usually no permit is required just to demolish it. However, if you have electrical or plumbing running to it, those need to be properly disconnected first. If you're planning to build a new shed in the same spot, definitely check with Loudoun County about setback requirements. And if you're in an HOA like Countryside Proprietary, check their rules too. How long will this take? I don't want a mess in my yard for days.
Most standard sheds (10x10 or smaller) are down and hauled away in 2-4 hours. Larger structures might take a half day. We've never left a Sterling job overnight. When we leave, your yard is clean, raked, and swept with a magnet for nails. You can use your backyard that same evening.
I work during the day. Do I need to be home?
